Decipher the universal human patterns
Humans are often similar, despite any distinctions we can make. We’re all more alike than it often seems. This knowing, is definitely helpful in terms of persuasion and having influence. Most people, react somewhat similarly, but there’s a tonne of learned behaviors, and different life experiences that factor into how exactly a person will react when put in any type of situation. Knowing, at least to a degree, these universals, can really help when presenting yourself as someone who “makes sense.”
Project familarity
Sometimes things just seem familiar. It comes across as something you’ve seen before, even if you can’t exactly put your finger on when and where. It just comes across as being familiar. And, that’s a big part of masking; to seem familiar. It’s a bit of a joke, but one could argue that if you just act like “this is completely normal,” most people won’t argue with ya. If they even could, given enough force of conviction. It’s also, I believe, a big reason why some trends or whatnot, fail or succeed. They make sense in the certain cultural window, and that’s why they spread.
Adopt, and integrate
Often it’s the lowlives and weirdos who have the most well developed methods, and approach. Cos the low lives and weirdos have been battle tested, a lot more and more consistent. Which is why you shouldn’t discount anyone, as having something to teach you. And everything factors in, a tonne of minor advantages can be as or more helpful as one massive one. So keep that in mind.
I think an advantage of being open minded and willing to learn from anyone, comes down to knowing how to adapt, and intergrate. Even if someone is doing something worse than you, knowing the mistakes, in a way, helps you flesh out your own approach. It seems counter intutive, but the master has more to learn from the beginner than the beginner from the master. Read that twice!
Earth school; you decide the curriculum
There’s a theory of learning, that roughly states everything you learn is building upon what you already know. Which, kind of jives with the universal knowing, you cannot become something unless you already have the seed of awareness. Think of it this way: you can’t get good at sports, without kinesthetic intelligence, or good at music without creative intelligence. This type of approach makes sure you’re always developing, by leaning into what’s easy and what’s already there.
A serious error a lot of people make is simply, to turn off the part of you that is most effortless. This is often something you get a lot of, percieved push back for. Like, the thing that everybody recognizes you’re good at. And, really, it is a virtue and they simply want you to reown that part of yourself. Simple as that.
Get accepted by your fellow humans
Maskin at the basic and fundamental level, is a matter of translation. To translate your own emotional patterns, and thinkin styles into one that’s more universal. And there’s a lot of levels to it, along with fine details. You can talk the talk of the musician, wealthy person, criminal, sociopath. And you’d suprised how these people treat just when you know how to move and feel like them. Even, gnarly and dangerous people will recognize something familiar, as something safe. Keep up and keep going!
