Vaguespeak and plainspeak
There’s two central ways of communication one can use, in short. Think right brain-left brain, logic-emotion. I call these vaguespeak and plainspeak.. Plainseak is about expressin your logic as clear and direct as possible. It is blunt, honest. Vaguespeak more is veiled and indirect, can often see this in people who live on the outside of society. This is a really cool distinction.
Communicatin’ is all about, bein’ understood, with your speech. There’s no fool proof way of learning this it just helps if you know that is the goal. Expression, for those who need to hear. There’s a near infinite thoughts that can be expressed, though there’s some limitation to how you express em. Hintin’ is a thing for a reason. Speak for those who hear.
“For those who hear”
We speak to share, not perform. Tho, that can be done, think music or writings. But even in entertaining there’s a clear message, not just empty words. We speak to be understood. Wise ones maybe more captivatin, for that exact reason. Wise ones have more to share, more to say.
Think about why people code messages. It is to be understood by those who know the coding. And it is related to speakin, especially at a high level, type entertainer or intellectual. Truth is cipher, to ones who understand. To share, means to connect, and be understood.
Familiary over bein’ diverse
To speak with conviction, ya should be using language you’re familiar with. That’s the mistake the, overly smart ones fall into. And there might be a thing to using real gramatical wordings, but it often loses a bit of the charm. Most types of slang, are made to be understood despite ambiguity. Think of, something people say; how AAVE is more gramatically complex than Standard American. I’d say the reason for this, is that there’s more grammar, to allow for amiguious distinctions. Though, that’s how I personally view it.
Empathy as a shortform
The shortcut to soundin’ unique, and have your own type of language use and a cool way of speakin’, simply is empathy. To reach to be heard, creates habits in language, that might make language more confusing from a pure grammar and syntax view, but for most people it’s just easier to understand. And of course, that’s the very reason why slang gets formed in the first place. To create a shortform way of speakin between the in-group which isn’t shared usually by outsiders.
Speak your mind and your joy!
